Borough Balcony

Balconies are a precious commodity in large cities like London and yet they are often neglected living spaces.

The challenge with this project was not so much giving this make-shift cluttered 'storage space' a makeover, but giving it a makeover with very limited resources. The budget was minuscule budget and I had to rely on using half-buckets of used paint and wood cutoffs from previous project that I saved.

I also repurposed a wooden table top to become plant shelves, repainted the wooden chairs (and gave a little homage to the South of France - my favourite European destination) and I used a left-over piece of raw edge oak to create a work station (ideal for those working from home days).

I created everything off the cuff with no plan and watched with great satisfaction as this little balcony came to life.
